Poultry Biochemistry Course

Intensive 3-day on-site program :

  • Foundations in avian physiology: Review of bird physiology, homeostasis, and essential sampling/analytical techniques for both in-house and reference labs.

  • Comprehensive diagnostic panels: Interpretation of blood tests (CBC, coagulation, biochemistry), respiratory function, electrolytes, minerals, renal and liver function, and protein metabolism.

  • Special topics in pathology: Focus on oxidative stress, mycotoxins, muscle damage, endocrine markers, intoxications, and water/electrolyte imbalances.

  • Hands-on laboratory work: Practical testing on live birds under different environmental and nutritional conditions, combined with lab data interpretation.

  • Applied case studies: Problem-solving sessions on clinical cases such as metabolic/respiratory disorders, with therapeutic recaps and key success factors for field application.
