This course, administered in English, is specifically designed for veterinarians and poultry farming professionals wishing to upgrade their knowledge and expertise in areas such as disease diagnosis and prevention, biosecurity, nutrition, and animal welfare. Upon completion of the course, participants are able to immediately apply best practices in their daily routines.
While this course provides an overview of infectious and non-infectious diseases significant at different of the chicken/breeder production process, it also emphasizes areas where veterinarians are often less familiar such as nutrition, general management of flocks, hatchery and chick quality or clinical biochemistry.
The course is administered under a hybrid format to facilitate the learning experience:
The online component comprises of a series pre-recorded lectures by various internationally renowned course masters. These videos will be available soon. Participants will have the opportunity to learn at their own pace ahead of the in-person session and will retain access to the content after the completion of this course.
The in-person component will be held at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) on March 9-13, 2026. During the week, formal lectures will be combined with various practical sessions including some laboratory work, a series of discussions on clinical cases presented by both course masters and participants, and some field visits. The in-person program is designed to stimulate the interactions between participants and course masters as well as among participants.

The fee for each course includes access to the online course materials (available for 7 years), the exam administered by Université de Montréal, and membership in the private Facebook group. It also covers dinners and two coffee breaks per day during the residential week. Please note that the fee does not include accommodation, transportation, health insurance, or travel visa costs.
