  • This 80-hour training program includes 40 hours of online recorded lectures, which participants can complete at their own pace. The online component features pre-recorded lectures delivered by internationally recognized course masters and will remain accessible after the course.

    The program also includes a 40-hour in-person residential week, taking place November 23–27, 2026, at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). The week will combine lectures, practical sessions, clinical case discussions, and field visits, while encouraging interaction between participants and course masters.

  • This course is specifically designed for veterinarians and poultry farming professionals wishing to upgrade their knowledge and expertise in areas such as disease diagnosis and prevention, biosecurity, nutrition, and animal welfare. Upon completion of the course, participants are able to immediately apply best practices in their daily routines.

    While this course provides an overview of infectious and non-infectious diseases significant at different of the chicken/breeder production process, it also emphasizes areas where veterinarians are often less familiar such as nutrition, general management of flocks, hatchery and chick quality or clinical biochemistry.

    The fee for each course includes access to the online course materials (available for 7 years) and the exam administered by Université de Montréal. It also covers dinners and two coffee breaks per day during the residential week. Please note that the fee does not include accommodation, transportation, health insurance, or travel visa costs.

Meet our Course Masters

Dr. Vincent Guyonnet (FR)

Dr. Vincent Guyonnet obtained his veterinary degree from the National Veterinary School of Lyon, France, and his Ph.D. from the Department of Poultry Science at the University of Georgia, Athens. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with the poultry sector, initially from the animal health perspective and later within the egg production, grading, and processing industry at Burnbrae Farms Ltd. He is widely recognized as an authority in the global egg industry. He has authored several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.

Dr. Stéphane Lemière (FR)

Stéphane Lemière brings over three decades of expertise in the field of avian health and management. Currently serving as the Global Technical Director for Avian at Boehringer Ingelheim, Stéphane oversees strategic initiatives and technical advancements to enhance avian health worldwide. His industry journey began in 1993 at Merial, where he ensured regulatory compliance and market access for avian products, rising through roles including Product Development and Technical Manager in France. Prior to his time at Merial, graduated in 1989 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ecole nationale vétérinaire de Lyon. His passion for avian health and welfare led him to pursue various managerial positions in the industry, where he consistently demonstrated a commitment to innovation and excellence. With a career spanning multiple continents and encompassing diverse roles, Stéphane has established himself as a respected leader and expert in avian health. His dedication to advancing the field and improving outcomes for poultry producers globally is evident in his longstanding contributions to the industry.
