The World Veterinary Education in Production Animal Health (WVEPAH) is pleased to announce the signature of a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association (WAVMA) and WVEPAH. The WAVMA President Dr. Bartolomeo Gorgoglione and the WVEPAH Director Dr. Pierre Cadot sealed a new partnership. The two organizations are working together to design and start the new Professional Certificate in Animal Health: Aquaculture Production (PCAHAP). The new veterinary certification program will be administered by the Université de Montréal (UdeM) and validated worldwide by WOAH.

WAVMA members will get additional benefit towards the PCAHAP, including a 100$ discount towards the general module, and towards the new PCAHAP certification up to 20 ECTS credits acquired through the CertAqV will be recognized. The fist General Module course of the program is expected to take place in Europe during the early summer of 2024. Further details about the modality of participation, application costs etc. will be provided before the end of this year.

The new partnership will be announced by Dr. Cadot during the Aquatic Veterinary Education session, which will take place on 14th September from 11:30 to 13:00 h during the 21st International Conference on Diseases of Fish and Shellfish (EAFP XXI), in Aberdeen, Scotland.
