2006: BSc degree in Agricultural- and Biotechnology from KaHo Sint-Lieven (KU Leuven), Sint-Niklaas, Belgium

2009: MSc in Animal Breeding and Genetics (1st Master) and MSc in Quantitative Veterinary Epidemiology (2nd Master) from the Wageningen University, Wageningen, The Netherlands.

2013: Visiting PhD-student University of Georgia, Athens, USA. Project: GWAS using single-step GBLUP.

2015: PhD from the Wageningen University, Wageningen, The Netherlands. Project: Genetics of social interactions in livestock: improving health, welfare and productivity in laying hens.

2014 until now: Research geneticist, Research and Technology Centre, Hendrix Genetics, Boxmeer, The Netherlands: Working on a wide range of projects related to breeding program optimization. Most projects are focused on genomic selection. (Layer, turkey, swine, salmon, trout, guinea fowl and insect breeding R&.
